Climate change is impacting Zimbabwean villages heavily, particularly those dependent on agriculture. To address this, Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA) practices are being promoted. CSA aims to sustainably increase agricultural productivity, enhance resilience to climate change, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Key CSA methods include Conservation Agriculture, which focuses on minimal soil disturbance, maintaining soil cover, and crop rotation. Water harvesting techniques, efficient irrigation, and agroforestry are also crucial. By empowering communities with knowledge and resources, Resilient Villages aims to help Zimbabwean farmers adopt these practices and build a more sustainable future.
